[REDACTED] is about speaking truth to power and exposing how ridiculous and unimportant we all are in the scheme of things.

This artwork was inspired by medieval marginalia and illuminated manuscripts. In the 1500s monks doodled vulgar, humorous, and insightful pictures in the edges of these books. The reference to marginalia works in two ways; What is in the margins is inherently less important and more fleeting. Hard times will pass, and the people perpetrating them will be but specks of dust over time. And, when we collectively use humor we strip away dignity from people who only pretend to have it in the first place.
